I was debating renting one of the blue city bikes or renting from a bike rental shop-we were offered 2 hours for $12 with the bike rental shop so we took it. Bike riding through Central Park is a great way to cover more ground more quickly. You are only allowed to ride the bikes on the road which is mostly one way only. Going off the road means walking your bikes. I wish we rented a lock so we could leave the bikes locked up while we went off the road to explore. The park is huge-we only covered the lower loop in the 2 hours we had the bikes. Bike riding through the park was one of the highlights of my trip in NY!

I rented a bike found 1:10 mind to ride all the way round Central Park on my last day in New York What a way to finish my stay in this great city Shalonda a member of staff was very helpful and funny The next I am back I will do this again,many things

Good location to rent bikes if you want to explore Midtown area. We rented for 4 hours and checked out Central Park, Fifth Ave and a little bit of Times square.
