We have been to central park a lot of time but this time decided to try the guided tour and were pleasantly surprised how much we have been missing. So much history that adds to all the sights you see and also some hidden spots.

Booked the tour online from home before travelling, seemed like great value as it was only $10 more each than bike hire alone. Worked out really well, we ended up in a group of about 20 with a guide called Giovanni. He showed us areas we would have been unlikely to find ourselves and gave us a bit of history of various areas of the park and the buildings and famous inhabitants surrounding it. It was advertised as being a 2 hour tour but it was very laid back and ended up around 3 and a half hours. The weather was great when we went, I think it would have been a different story in the rain!
