As a tour guide myself and with a year of previous work experience of working for a bike tour and rental company in Germany, maybe I was a tough audience. However I wish I hadn't even bothered with a tour and maybe just taken the bike myself or walked around the park. My main problems were as follows... 1. SAFETY - I arrived at the location and was just given any bike and rushed out by our guide Ivan (Only learning his name after having to ask him 10 minutes in to our meeting). It soon became clear that the bike was broken. The gears and brakes on the one side were lose from the handlebars. this meant that it was difficult to change gears, so difficult in fact it would wobble and unsteady balance on the bike whilst cycling. I told Ivan our guide on multiple occasions and at each stop he said " I'll look at it" but he didn't seem to alter it. He also didn't carry any tools or equipment with him to even try to fix it. This meant the cycling experience was uncomfortable (with barely any resistance to get some power going) and it just felt a bit unsafe. 2. Guide - Ivan was ok. Not terrible but not fantastic. The 'information' he gave you could have got from a guidebook. He ended up stopping in 'strange' positions at key sites, sort of near sites but not not really near enough to take a photos and then we cycled for a very long stretch at the end of the tour with very few stops. He was a bit brisk, abrupt and generally you got the feeling he didn't want to be there. 3. Experience - It seems that the bikes in central park can not go on the smaller pathways and must stay on one main road, which is actually quite up and down (NOT FLAT CYCLING). It's a shame that with a bike you can not see more of the park and actually although it's good for covering the distance, I wish I would have taken the time to walk instead. The tour was really a WASTE OF TIME in my opinion. You could do the same with a good guide book and a map and probably have a cheaper and less rushed experience.

We booked this tour online and would recommend not doing it. From the start we had an awful experience. At check in they didn’t even read our registration and started trying to include baskets, locks etc at extra cost. I kept informing them we were there for a tour until finally the customer service person understood. The people who hand out the bikes are just plain rude. There was a lot of miscommunication regarding the tour and we had no idea where to stand etc. The tour guide arrived late and was not passionate about the tour, just riding and pointing out movie sites. I recommend hiring a bike from another company or just walking Central Park. You can easily find out yourself where movies are filmed and places of interest from the internet.

I booked a 2 hour group trip, I was the only one attending so my guide Giovanni showed me the sights in a leisurely manner, lots of photo stops
