What To Expect

Central Park Zoo

The zoo is open every day of the year and features three major biomes: the Tropic Zone, Temperate Territory, and the Polar Circle. From tropical birds, to snow leopards, grizzly bears, and one of the nation’s largest colonies of Antarctic penguins, there are animals to enjoy in every season. We also feature the Tisch Children’s Zoo, a playful adventure for our youngest guests who’ll encounter goats, sheep, some of the world’s most unique ducks, and the only cow who calls Manhattan home. Our goal is to inspire our visitors and connect them to the plight of animals in the wild and the conservation work we’re doing to protect them.

Awful. Hardly any animals and then some of them missing. Cramped Conditions, over priced and boring. Avoid and save your money.

I didn't get the tickets the email said there should of been a QR code in a pdf in that email there was none I ended up buying tickets at the zoo cause no one responded to me about my issue with Viator

How can anyone imagine that showing small children the terrible cramped conditions these animals live in, the bears pacing all day in torment, is a positive introduction to the animal world and nature? The only way the conditions can be improved for the animals is to close the place down and put them in sanctuaries.
