As part of my birthday celebration, we booked a birding tour with Charles Donnelly of Holy City Birding. It was the highlight of my trip to Charleston. Charles was able to provide the whole family (we were eight people) with informative and exciting experiences on the Pitt Street Bridge Bird watching tour. It was a glorious day with beautiful views and a cool breeze. Charles is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. We were able to enjoy thirty different species of birds and a quick look at a shy diamond back terrapin turtle. I highly recommend this outing to adults and young people. I look forward to a return visit. Thanks Charles.

Our family of four adults had a wonderful experience with Charles at Holy City Birding! I contacted Holy City Birding with potential dates and a list of birds I wanted to try to photograph. Charles looked at the tides and hot spots and planned the perfect time to maximize my chances of success. His familiarity with the birds, the habitat, and local birders adds to the value he provides. Charles is personable and informative. One species was unlikely to be seen at any hotspot, but he pointed us to it between hotspots. At the end of our four-hour tour with Charles, I had made photographs of 11 lifers! He introduced us to 10 of my top 11 target species. And my daughter got even more lifers. Great experience. You won't be disappointed with Holy City Birding!
