A good introduction to Charleston. Particularly recommended during hot weather versus a walking tour because the bus was air conditioned. The house is just across the street from the visitor's center where the tour starts and ends, so it's easy to get to and worth seeing.

Charleston S.C. Gray Line Tour Charleston Visitors Center 375 Meeting St. Like many of the great southern cities with a rich historical background Charleston offers a wonderful selection of tours. Gray Line Tours offers 3 variations ranging from the modest 100+ things to love about Charleston to more complex historic homes and harbor tours. Since we were in town for only one day our goal was to get an over view of the city and to seek the historical sites on our own so we chose the most modest. This bus tour lasted about 90 minutes and was very helpful. The driver was a local and very well informed of her cities background and past. This is a beautiful city and the highlighted points of interest proved enlightening. A trip to Old Ft. Sumter and the Harbor Tours would require more time and money but Iā€™m assured is well worth it. I will return another time to visit these as well. I like leaving enough time to explore on my own and strolling through the offbeat streets of a city.

Gray Line Tours of Charleston, SC are a MUST DO when visiting this wonderful and historic city. If you don't feel like walking, then take a Gray Line Tour. They are affordable and the tour guides are really awesome! My tour guide was Kim Wood and you could tell how much she loved what she did. She knew a great deal about the city and was funny too.
