The captain miss Katy was great, we loved her! We seen a few dolphins and a lot of seashells! The best time to go is in the morning, it has low tide and you can walk almost all the way to the Lighthouse.

It sounds like you had an amazing time with Captain Katy! It’s wonderful that you got to see some dolphins and collect seashells while enjoying the beautiful scenery around the lighthouse. Early morning tours really do offer the best opportunities with low tide, making it easier to explore the island. Thanks for sharing your experience with Charleston Outdoor Adventures!

So my wife did this tour as a date night activity 2 years ago while visiting Folly. When we decided to do a family vacay back to Folly this summer, we made sure to book another tour for the entire family! Dallas (Capt. Salad) was our guide and he was fantastic with his knowledge of the marsh and the animals that inhabited it. We also appreciated his sense of humor along the way out to Morris Island. It was my 4 year old’s first time on a boat of any kind and Dallas did his best to help ease his fears along the way. We also appreciated his knowledge of the local businesses and look forward to trying some of his recommendations while we’re in the Charleston/Folly area. Bonus points to Dallas for being able to remember everyone’s name while out on the tour! Everyone in our group (ages 4-70) had a blast and I would definitely recommend this tour if you’re in the area! FYI… there’s a nice low key restaurant/bar on site, as well so you can easily do lunch before or dinner afterwards.

It’s great to hear that you and your family had a fantastic time on your tour with Captain Dallas! His ability to connect with everyone, especially your 4-year-old, speaks volumes about his skills as a guide. It's wonderful that he could share his knowledge of the marsh and local recommendations, making the experience even more enriching. Thank you for highlighting the family-friendly atmosphere and the convenient dining options nearby. We look forward to seeing you again for more adventures with Charleston Outdoor Adventures!

The dolphin sightings were terrific! . Way too long at Morris Island, we would have been good with 20-30 minutes instead of an hour.

Hi Nol- We appreciate the 4 star review. We recognize that this is very hot time of year to be outside. For many people, the highlight of this tour is the shelling on the beach. For those want to stay on the boat we offer a shorter, 1.5 hour Dolphin Eco Boat Tour with views of the lighthouse. Hope you consider coming out with us again!
