Charleston's Walking History Tour - 6 PM

Overview
Explore the history of Charleston after dinner with us as we walk through history!

Let’s face it – it can be really hot and humid here during the day - but who doesn’t love walking tours after dinner? The sun is going down, the breeze is picking up, and well, learning about the history of this great city just feels a little more comfortable without the sun beating down.

We’ll spend some time talking about modern day Charleston SC. Then we’ll chat a little about Southern culture – before turning our attention to the rich and colorful history of Charleston in 1650. We’ll continue our journey through the streets of history, discovering things along the way, and eventually finding our way back close to where we started.

Things to do in Charleston? This isn't just another one of those sightseeing tours, this look at Charleston SC is a comfortable evening stroll designed to entertain and educate – and it’s the best souvenir you can give yourself.

Chucktown Tours
On a Chucktown Walking tour we're going to explore current day Charleston, Southern Couture, and the History of Charleston. We start out by the water, walk mostly in the shade - and take as many breaks as people may need. Please keep in mind. We’re not walking fast, and we take our time. However, Charleston isn’t known for its straight and level sidewalks – that’s why we don’t recommend wheelchairs and walkers on a tour like this. Strollers are fine. However, young children may need a little extra care on the narrow sidewalks. We'll end up very close to where we started at Waterfront park in Charleston's famous Historic District!

Our guide, Cooper, was EXTREMELY well-versed in the history of this city. He has clearly put a lot of time into learning about Charleston and cultivating an engaging tour. We were a mother and daughter pair who booked a private walking tour on a winter evening. Despite our last-minute request, Chuck Town Tours were really accommodating. The tour itself was really fun and really informative, and very do-able for both me and my 70-year old mom. Highly recommend!
