The history tour and ghost tour had thr same guy. Very knowledgeable and showed us the darker side and told us the dark stories of Chalreston. Recommend highly!

This was a highly enlightening and entertaining tour! Our tour guide Paul was top notch and a solid local history buff! A personal touch Paul added to the tour that my wife and I truly enjoyed was that he brought historical pictures and paintings of how the Charleston area appeared prior to its updated architecture. It is truly amazing how much the area has expanded in just over 300 years and I am referring to just the land mass expansion alone (look for his painting as to how the area around the Provost Dungeon looked prior to modern day). This provided a unique touch to the environment and helped one strongly sympathize with the added hardship and amazing advances our founding ancestors had to endure. We had walked by several of these areas during our daily outing in Charleston and had no idea the historical significance or tragedies that had manifested at those locations. The local ghost stories that were provided were excellent, not embellished, and based on authentic historical events. If you are looking for genuine local history and unique ghostly tales this is the tour for you :)
