A don’t miss experience. Chicago’s famous Air and Water Show aboard the Tall Ship Windy is truly a magical event. While the official schedule has yet to be announced, it’s anticipated that the US Navy Blue Angels will return again in 2022 to wow audiences — along with appearances by the USAF F-35A Lightning II Demo, Michael Goulian in his acrobatic Extra 330SC, Rob Holland in the MXS-RH, Susan Dacy in her Super Stearman “Big Red”, and antique military aircraft from the Warbird Heritage Foundation.

Also watch for the US Army Golden Knights parachute teams, the U.S. Navy Leap Frogs parachute team, as well as other crowd-pleasing stunts by the AeroShell Aerobatic Team, and a performance by the Chicago Fire Department Air/Sea Rescue team.

We had a fantastic day on the Tall Ship Windy at Chicago’s 2022 Air & Water Show. So much fun. Got some great pictures with the planes buzzing all around. Grandkids had a blast. The crew were great and even extended our cruise because the show was delayed until the weather cleared up. We didn’t even get wet because they steered Windy away from the rain while we waited for the show to begin. Thanks for a great memory

The captain and crew are just lovely. I’d sail anywhere with them. The captain stayed out longer than planned so we could See the entire air and water show. This is a must do in Chicago!

Even though it was a cloudy,rainy day we enjoyed the experience. We did see some of the planes. Actually, we were out in the water for a extra hour to see the Blue Angels! It was a amazing experience! We plan on doing this again next year!! Thank you for the wonderful day!!!
