I have taken a similar tour in high school and now as an almost 30 year old found this so interesting and insightful in a city I was raised near! My husband also thought it was amazing as he’s British and didn’t know much about the history of Chicago and it’s architecture. The guide was really passionate and well informed about all the buildings on the river and had a great sense of humor which made the tour go by super quickly. Would recommend if anyone wants to feel like a tourist and learn more about Chicago, this is great on a sunny day and they even serve some refreshments on board!

The day of our tour was a little rainy, windy, and chillay - but the lower level has you covered, and still yet, the upper deck views are totally worth getting a little wet and chilled - bundle up (winter visit)! Loved the guide, the views were top tier, and the information we learned about the city buildings and architecture was wonderful!

It was freezing rain and snow with high winds. At one point the boat hit the side of the river from the wind. They should not have gone out and it took all joy out of the experience.
