Overview

There’s never been a better time to be a beer drinker — and Chicago, with its thriving brewery scene and many destination-worthy beer bars, is the perfect city for suds lovers. Visit three of its craft breweries on this all-inclusive, 3.5-4hour tour, where you’ll get to tour one brewery production facility and enjoy copious samples of local brews. To keep things interesting, you’ll travel in a barrel-shaped bus. Morning and evening departure times are both available.

We pick-up across the street from the Rainforest Cafe. Come up to The Barrel Bus and our Guide will get you checked-in.

Positives-the barrel bus is an extremely creative and fun idea. (our driver designed it himself) Get to see Chicago and visit 3 breweries you may have not known about. Negatives- only one of the breweries had more than one sample with an explanation of how they make their beers. Two of the three breweries - you just picked your beer and stood around to drink it. No interaction or learning experience in the last two breweries. There are no seatbelts on the bus. We were stuck with about 8 people who just were way too loud with their yelling and heckling and piercing laughing. Hate that people can ruin your experience with how they act.

Hi Carla, thank you for joining us on our Brewery Tour and we appreciate your feedback. It was a pleasure having you experience our Barrel Bus. We did have reservations to sit down at each location and enjoy samples - however since we experienced Tornado Warnings during the afternoon, each location's available space became limited. Additionally the perimeter seating system that this Barrel Bus has is required to not have seat belts by federal law. We hope to see you again for another event in the future. Thank you!

10 stars. Incredible experience. David was amazing, as were all of the places we visited. Can't recommend this enough. Definitely add to your bucket list when in Chicago.

I'm new to Chicago and wasn't sure what to do for my birthday. I ended up renting out the entire bus to have for my group and working with David and his team was fantastic. They gave us a list of brewery suggestions and helped me find the perfect ones for my group to visit. He also let us stop at a fun Chicago touristy spot to get a group picture at with the skyline behind us. He was flexible with our drop off location and was accommodating with the specific times we wanted. The bus was extremely comfortable and they even had a cooler with ice on it for us. I couldn't recommend this more!
