Once again it paid for us to use GetYourGuide to book activities on the back of a booking.com hotel reservation. Listed as "Chicago Holiday Season: Guided Walking Tour + Samples" this afternoon of fun facts and tasty treats was the highlight of our brief stay in downtown Chicago. Our guide Sarah was not only nice and knowledgable - she was enthusastic, approachable and genuine. We were sorry to part ways with her at the end. Her pride in her city was evident. We learned SO much we didn't know about Chicago! The walking pace was just right for exploring and talking together AND eating the amazing local snacks and specialties Sarah had organized for the group. I loved the cheddar and caramel popcorn mix while discovering the Pedway and the original-recipe brownie while soaking up the Palmer House. And we were especially pleased to have a slice of deep dish pizza waiting for us at Giordano's. (No need to spend the rest of our evening waiting 45 minutes to try it!) The Christmas buzz on the streets, which would have been stressful if we were left to wander on our own, was so much more enjoyable with a guide and an itinerary set out full of interesting sights, great architecture, fascinating stories of historic characters and a chance to soak up Chicago culture. I would highly recommend this tour. Thanks Sarah!

Perry was an excellent tour guide! I liked the balance between learning the history of Chicago and all the delicious food. I was pleasantly surprised by the serving size. We got a whole slice of pizza and a whole hot dog. They were able to do this because they gave us other dishes that kept well to-go (ie. popcorn). In this way, I would consider the tour to be a great value. Also, I would've been very sad if I only got an itty bitty bite of pizza, haha. Also, the beer selection was great! For those who didn't want a drink, they had soft drinks or coffee but I enjoyed the beer. I would definitely recommend to others.

My husband and I had a great tour with Ardarius. We were a little nervous because the weather was supposed to be near zero degrees, but the walks between stops were short and Ardarius kept the mood light and funny. The food was good (definitely enough for lunch over all of the stops), my husband enjoyed the beer, and we liked the history and Chicago tidbits. Considering doing the tour again in the warmer weather when we can bike!
