We had the absolute pleasure today to be with Jake, our guide, for the Wicker Park Food Tour through the streets of one of Chicago's hip neighborhoods. Booking is easy, just call the number and there is a friendly helpful person that makes the whole process easy. Our guide met us at the appointed time. Jake was full of interesting information about the our city and the neighborhood. As we wandered the streets Jake stopped periodically to tell us about the homes, the buildings and just the area in general. Then there is the food....delicious! We started with donuts, then meat balls , fried chicken, beef sandwiches and cookies. OMG...great places. We were filled up. This tour is great for guests to our city, natives like us, families, couples...well, just plain everyone.

We did the Wicker Park food tour today with tour guide Alyssa (outstanding, by the way!) - a fun mix of historical knowledge and interesting foods in one of Chicago's most interesting neighborhoods. The pacing was enjoyable - often on these food tours there's too much eating and too little walking but not in this case - great balance. The food choices of course were delicious and varied - from Chicago Pizza (it's a requirement, I guess) to really great gourmet tacos, artisanal donuts and more ... all the while walking and people watching in one of Chicago's most interesting neighborhoods. I would of course highly recco this for visitors to Chicago, but if you're an area resident and especially suburban and you're looking for something fun to do, you really cannot miss with this. You'll learn a bit more about our incredible city, and of course get fed well in the process - win/win! Highly recommended!
