Loved it! Entertaining and nice breeze on a hot day! Sara was a great tour guide! Not just an architectural tour which was nice.

Great overall experience. Wonderful way to enjoy the city and learn some history. Our tour guide was excellent! Would have loved a bit more quiet/chill time while out on the lake to chat and enjoy the gorgeous day and views.

Boarding was late and no-one was at the dock to explain what was happening. We spent very little time on the river before turning round to head up to the lake - then spent a huge amount of time in the lock waiting for the water level to adjust. There really is not much to learn whilst you’re sitting waiting for the water to flow and ebb not to mention waiting for the queues to subside. So unless you’re a huge fan of locks (and quite frankly you’d see more action on a canal) then I’d give it a miss. The trip wasn’t helped by the weather which was obviously out of their control but it had been forecast and sadly they were completely unprepared so I spent the majority of the trip standing and unable to see anything through steamed up windows. Really wished I’d taken the architectural river tour instead rather than spending over half the time waiting to go through the lock and then back.
