This was a good time-pass event for about 2.5 hours on the Chicago River in the city and into the locks for a brief tour in Lake Michigan. Some of the history on the buildings and their architectural background were interesting. It was also interesting watching the locks pump water in and water out to get out into the Lake michigan. Bring a jacket and hat, the wind does pick up.

Really enjoyed our cruise and our tour guide, Keeling, was very knowledgeable. We did have one issue, though. I had reserved our seats on the 6:15 cruise as I wanted to get photos of the city's skyline at night. However, when we went in the afternoon to pick up our tickets we were advised there was no 6:15 cruise. They then told us that some company had chartered the boat. (I believe that they simply didn't have enough people for that cruise and just cancelled it.) Fortunately, I had my confirmation number so they booked us on the 4:15 cruise instead. Had we not gone by to pick up our tickets as early as we did, we would have missed the cruise entirely. Not a good way to run a business.
