What To Expect

Mokoli’i Island

Ocean Kayaking Experience and Hike combo. Convenient equipment delivery and pickup right next to the beach. Self-guided experience with personal on-shore instruction before you set out on your own. Hike around the island for views of the Koolau mountain range. We suggest hiking around the circumference of Mokoli’i. The hike to the top is for experienced adventurers and is moderate to advanced at points.

We rented a kayak for a few hours to pop out to Mokoli’i island (Chinaman’s Hat) and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Josh from Oahu Tours was super helpful and friendly and the process was really easy. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our experience. I finally got a chance to see the Chinaman’s Hat in person. The sights were awesome. The time shared with my wife was another memorable experience along our journey together. The only concern was having to carry the kayak from the side of the road to the beach. We’ve kayaked other locations throughout the country and they were staged along the shore. Just more work. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves.
