Overview

There are two Chinatowns, one that you see from a van or bus, and the one that can only be experienced on foot in the back alleys, food markets, and local restaurants.

One Chinatown, the one from the bus, is interesting. Our Chinatown will surprise you with new adventures around every corner. In our Chinatown, artisans form Fortune Cookies by hand. In our Chinatown, artisans practice their craft in small alleys using techniques handed down for thousands of years. And in our Chinatown, the authentic cuisine will enliven your senses with new flavors, smells, and aromas.

We'll explore exotic and unique Asian produce, herbs, and teas from the very people who know them best. We'll uncover their hidden secrets only intrepid locals know. And you'll be astonished by the new finds in secret alcoves.

We'll spend about three hours eating everything from Dim Sum, fortune cookies, teas, and more.

My husband and I ended up having a private tour with Brian by happenstance and it was great. I grew up in the Bay Area and Brian has stories and facts I’d never heard. On top of the great historical tour the food stops were amazing. Each one was delicious and we regretted having breakfast that morning as we were stuffed! Would definitely recommend.

This was a great food tour. The selection of foods to taste was different, plentiful and very very good! We actually sat down at a couple of restaurants for a full meal! So much food that was well worth the money. Our tour guide Isabella was great! She was very personable and knowledgable. We learnt a lot about not just the food but about China Town's culture and history. I've been on other food tours of China Town but this one was the best because of the selection and quality of food that they provided. I would take this tour again! Thank you!
