What To Expect

Bryant Park

The tour will finish close to the Bryant Park Winter Village, just blocks from beautiful Rockefeller Center where you can see the famous Christmas tree, ice staking rink, shops, and so much more.

Dyker Heights

As you depart from Midtown Manhattan, you can enjoy beautiful views of NYC, including its historic buildings and picturesque skyline. Once you arrive in Dyker Heights, you enjoy the company of our guide, a native Brooklynite that knows the area and history—to learn about the annual tradition. Take a magical stroll through Dyker Heights, where homeowners take holiday decorating to a whole new level. Visit Lucy Spata’s house, the woman who started it all over 40 years ago and admire a property that's lined with angels, toy soldiers, and the occasional visit from Santa Claus. Along the way, see a 15-foot Santa Claus standing tall, and gorgeous holiday carousels at the Polizzotto’s house, plus house after house displaying thousands of lights, reindeer, toy soldiers, life-size cartoon characters. and nativity scenes.

Frankly, the last thing I wanted to do was take a walk in the cold, but the kids insisted they wanted to see the Dyker Heights lights. Glad we did as we had a great time! Friendly host, seemed to be a Brooklyn native, had us moving along through the neighborhood. It was lit up like Times Square and some of the homes are too over the top, but most are just lovely. We booked here because they were less expensive than some tours and said they had a lounge, which turned out to be a lovely church hall by the bus drop off. A clean bathroom and a warm place to sit down after the tour - there is more than a bit of walking involved -- was a wonderful thing as I am not that young anymore. LOL Also, our host provided hot cocoa with pizza and pastries. All were included in the price, which I thought was truly a good bargain. He said the food was from shops in the same Brooklyn neighborhood so we got a real Brooklyn experience. PS The cannolis were fantastic! Definitively a most do.

New York City Christmas lights Bus Tour was wonderful & learned many interesting facts from the tour guide. Was able to get off the bus to take pictures of store windows, Empire State Building & Grand Central Station
