I'm glad I started my VA trip with this tour. It put all of my subsequent visits to historical sites in perspective. Our tour guide was full of energy and I enjoyed the stories. We even heard from some of the neighborhood residents and their experiences. I would highly recommend this tour for Poe fans, but also for anyone wanting to learn about another side of history.

Thank you for the feedback! Iā€™m glad that you enjoyed our guideā€™s story delivery. Sometimes our guides may condense our tour into fewer stops with more detailed stories, but we understand the comment about only three stops and we will see about addressing that moving forward. Thank you again for joining us, and I hope that you can join us again and let us have the opportunity to provide you with another haunted history experience!

In my experience, historic ghost tours fall into two distinct categories; spooky fun or quirky local history. This one falls into the later category. The tour was filled with quirky locals and very beautiful night scenery. Our guide did a really good job of reading the group and tailoring the tour to focus more on the stories and history than the "looking to experience something" aspect. What was already a fun night with friends became even more entertaining when a neighborhood cat (or ghost cat, who knows?) Joined us for most of the stops. It was a fun tour, the cost was appropriate, and while you do walk up and downhill it is broken up by stops. If you have mobility issues the sidewalks are made of very old brick and are uneven, but that is the worst of it.
