My husband and I went on the wine and dessert tour last weekend. We had a great guide who was very knowledgeable about the area and the places we visited. The desserts were great, but the highlight for us was visiting Revel and tasting their delicious wine. Touring their facility and learning about wine making was very interesting.

We had the pleasure of spending a cold, rainy Saturday afternoon with tour guide Patrick - the tour consisted of 4 local spots in Cincinnatiā€™s gem, Over-The-Rhine (OTR)... we started at Buzzed Bull Creamery for alcohol infused ice cream...YUM!...we then moved on to the Macaron Bar...not to be confused with a Macroon Bar (two Oā€™s, did you catch it?!), anyway, from there we hit Revel Wine Bar that makes wine locally in Cincinnati, SUPER cute, great music and fun games... we ended the tour at a local favorite, Holtmanā€™s, which is always a treat...Patrick was great, provided us with some fun facts about Cincinnati.... did you know jaywalking originated in Cincinnati?!!... fun times with Patrick... canā€™t wait to do another tour!!

It was such a pretty day to begin with. A little chilly but mostly sunny. Each time we started to feel a little cold, we ducked into another of out location points. Our guide, Patrick, was very informative and patient. It was supposed to be a 2 hour tour, but it went longer. He didn't hurry us along to meet the schedule. Some of the businesses were fairly new, so there wasn't much history to tell, but all were friendly. The Revel Brewery was an especially fun stop with a great amount of tasting, time spent, and information by our tour leaders. The dessert venues were all unique and quaint. I especially had fun at the Buzzed Bull Creamery was a surprisingly wonderful stop. Because it was chilly outside, I probably would not have stopped in. Because of the tour, I got to try it, was happily surprised, and will plan to return. I'd highly recommend it. It wasn't a whole lot of walking, and it didn't take up a whole day. I think I'll probably do it again when folks visit.
