Cincinnati Wine & Dine In OTR with Riverside Food Tours

Overview
Join us for an evening stroll as we taste and sip the night away in the German historic area called Over the Rhine, just a few blocks north of downtown Cincinnati. This hip and vibrant 360 acre neighborhood has been totally transformed from an urban ghetto to the largest collection of mid century Italianate buildings in the country!  We begin our "walk through history" in a scenic 8 acre Victorian park. We enjoy 3 small plates, dessert and 2 glasses of wine at 5 unique stops.  When visiting Cincinnati, this is the one neighborhood you don't want to miss. Restaurants may vary from week to week.

My husband booked this as a fun activity for us to do for my birthday (late 50's) with our 2 kids that are in the mid-late 20's. We have lived in the northern suburbs of Cincinnati for our entire lives and always enjoy going into the city for the great restaurants and events held there all year long. We always love hearing more about our great city and the rich history that goes with it and really looked forward to getting to know more about the OTR area. Juliann was our tour guide and did a great job sharing all of her knowledge about this particular area and the city beyond. She even took pictures of us along the way! We were able to go to Sundry & Vice, Ghost Baby, Japp's and Homemaker's Bar. It was so nice to be able to walk into these bars and they were ready for us with seating and one of their feature craft cocktails. Each stop had a unique cocktail, and we were able to order anything off the menu if we wanted something different (or a 2nd one lol!). We had been to GB before but to be able to get in on a Saturday night was a special treat since you have to make reservations months and months in advance and it is such a wonderful experience - we highly recommend it! We had not been to Japp's since the 90's so it was good to be there again with a new perspective. S&V has a great vibe to it as does the woman-owned Homemaker's bar where we were able to be in the Fifty Fifty Gin Club which was a special treat! Juliann knew no one in our group of 7 had to be anywhere after the tour, so she really let us take our time and enjoy and take in the special vibe each stop had (could have stayed in Ghost Baby all night!). We would not hesitate to recommend the OTR Cocktail tour with Juliann and will probably book another in the future - the Mainstrasse one sounds interesting!

Hi Susan, Thank you for writing such a detailed review for the Saturday afternoon Over the Rhine Cocktail Tour. Juliann will love seeing your feedback! I agree that it's so nice to walk into any of these establishments on a Saturday evening and be seated and served without hassle or stress. Everyone knows Juliann and they appreciate seeing her and her group every week. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to seeing you again!

Thanks Barb, for the great review. The Wine and Dine in Over the Rhine is a relaxing evening tour through a beautiful historic neighborhood. I'm glad you enjoyed the Venezuelan mariquitas, the Polish pierogies. Lebanese baklava and the salad at Louvino. I hope you can join us again one of our other tours!
