A 3 hour night time cruise with commentary as you go round the harbour and have all the major sights pointed out, plus a pass by of the Statue of Liberty. We booked superior seats, which means you get a free cookie and waitress service if you want anything from the bar/snack station. We thought we were going to get a more comfortable seat, at least padded but it was the same hard seat everyone else had. Didn't think it warranted the extra money. However we were a bit out of season and if it were the height of the season and 600 people were on board it might have been worth the extra!!! At least then you would get a seat with a view. Some great photo opportunities as you go round, if you have the camera to cope with it. Remember you are out there in the dark.

We loved every minute of this tour. It started as the sun was setting, by the time we returned 2 hours later, New York has become a twinkling cityscape. So impressive the way the familiar buildings had taken on a different and shiny character. The commentary was a highlight. So often these can fade into the background as the guide drones on. Here we had stories, insights and lots of interesting facts to keep us amused and well briefed. The boat ride itself was smooth and sedate, yet we went down the Hudson, past Lady Liberty and Up East River quite some way before retracing our steps. The snacks and drinks kept us going. Only the weather hadn't got the memo - it was bitterly cold in the wind on deck. However, this was not enough to dampen our spirits. The perfect evening.

Enjoyed the experience very much. Ship was in good condition and the crew friendly and helpful. The narration was interesting and informative. I would have appreciated if the windows were cleaner as it was cold outside and the view was diminished by the dirty windows.
