Bought the vip tickets and sat up stairs with our own bartender. It was excellent. Not crowded at all on the top. First stop was the Statue of Liberty then cruising up and back on the river. It was a gorgeous clear evening and the city just sparkled!! Highly recommend this tour.

I meticulously planned a weekend in NYC with my teenage son as a Christmas present. On Dec.19th, I purchased premier (more expensive) tickets for the Harbor Lights Cruise through my employers discount site "Tickets at Work". On Dec. 20th. I called Circle Line, spoke to a person, and booked a reservation for Friday 1/4 for the purchased Harbor Lights Cruise, and was given a reservation confirmation number. On Friday, 1/4 at 6pm, we arrived at Pier 42 to a small crowd of people and a sign on the window "Harbor Lights Cruise closed until April 2019". Not a soul there...I did not receive an email, phone call, any notification. Only having 2.5 days in the city, this was one of the ways I planned to see it with my teen. Before writing this terrible review, I called Circle Line today to discuss the issue, request refund, express disappointment...and received this as a response "You have to call Tickets at Work to request a refund." No apology, no offer to make it up in any way, nothing. To me it wasn't just about the $100 tickets, it was my plan for that day, what we were looking most forward to, am sure the cruise is fantastic and the views are breathtaking...but I wouldn't know, because we didn't get to go. Side note, I have called Tickets at Work, they submit a request to Circle Line for refund. Who knows if that will be approved, I just wanted to see the city at night from the water. They had dates advertised, booked them, then closed without notifying paid customers. With notice, I could have booked with another company, or planned a different activity with my son. But nah, why would they care about my measly little vacation plans?
