The stadium serves as the home to the University of Southern California (USC) Trojans football team. The Coliseum is the first stadium to have hosted the Summer Olympic Games twice, in 1932 and 1984. DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES Unlike other large cities, many people visit Los Angeles without ever setting foot Downtown. Thatā€™s a shame, since Downtown LA is rich with historic architecture and cultural attractions, not to mention sports and entertainment complexes. This slide show gives you a preview of some of the cool things to do in Downtown Los Angeles that are worth a visit.
2
Griffith Observatory
GRIFFITH PARK OBSERVATORY,Hollywood Sign: The observatory is a popular tourist attraction with an excellent view of the Hollywood Sign, and an extensive array of space and science-related displays.
3
Hollywood Walk of Fame
WALK OF FAME (Hollywood Blvd) Grauman's Chinese Theatre - The Hollywood Walk of Fame - - Kodak Theater, (Home of the Oscars) - The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel , and many more famous places too numerous to list... Since the first star was awarded to Joanne Woodward, in 1960, celebrities and fictional characters that have contributed to the entertainment industry here have recognized with a star on Hollywoodā€™s Walk of Fame. There are now more than 2,300 of these five-pointed bronze stars including some of the most recent honorees such as Halle Berry, Jamie Foxx and Forrest Whitaker and The Munchkins, stars of the 1939 film ā€œThe Wizard of Oz.
4
Sunset Plaza
Lunch at Mel's Diner:The ultimate 50ā€™s dining experience! George Lucas filmed scenes for American Graffiti at a Melā€™s Diner. The one on Sunset Strip, where we stop for lunch on the full-day tour, is still a great place for celebrity spotting! You donā€™t ā€œhaveā€ to have lunch here ā€“ but why wouldnā€™t you want to? You just might recognize someone famous at the next table. Donā€™t let their clever disguise (Rayban(tm) sunglasses) fool you! Dine with the stars!
5
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive: This is a city where the pawn shops are called ā€œcollateral lenders,ā€ and make quick loans on Mercedes and Ferraris instead of toasters. This is a city where some of the clothing stores require customers to make advance reservations to shop, and where shoppers may routinely drop $100,000 or more in a single visit to a boutique on Rodeo Drive or Wilshire Blvd. A city where the post office offers valet parking. This townā€™s ā€œSister Cityā€ is none other than Cannes, France.
6
Santa Monica
Santa Monica Beach: Follow Americaā€™s most famous cross country highway to the Pacific Ocean, and you will find yourself at the Santa Monica Pier. Designed as a pleasure palace and park a century ago, currently this restored family playground is gearing up for its 100th Gala in 2009.
7
Venice Beach
Venice Beach: Hilary Duff shot a video here, Jim Morrison and the Doors and bandleader Benny Goodman both got their careers started here, and now it is the place actors Jane Fonda, Viggo Mortensen and Elijah Wood call home. Please note: Due to Venice Beach city conditions, we might substitute Venice Beach to Fisherman's Village in Marina Del Rey. Itā€™s Venice Beach, the free-spirited beach resort town beloved for its Bohemian character, boutiques, street performers, artists, fortune tellers on the boardwalk and as a stellar place for people-watching (not to mention star-gazing)!Muscle beach and much more....( LAX drop off is available at the end of the tour: 4:00 pm).

We did not see all the sights that was listed on this tour. Full day. They picked me up at the cruise port and put my luggage in the back of the van (one bag).

Thanks for sharing your input. Curious as to which site(s) were missed. It is unusual for us to receive comments that say that. We appreciate your having joined us on the tour but, again, are curious as to what was missed.

We booked your tour after reading the great reviews on trip advisor and expedia and felt it would cover everything we wanted to see in LA during our one day stop as part of a cruise. (Advice if traveling with Princess book their tour as other passageners raved about it !) When we arrived at the cruise terminal, John who was very courteous, welcoming, engaging greeted us. We were however not booked on his bus but on Albertoā€™s and after he arrive 20 minutes late was not apologetic. Alberto informed use we would not visit the observatory as the roads are shut ! However we later discovered this was an out right lie and he clearly could not be bothered to drive us there. We know this as on returning to the ship we spoke to several people on Johnā€™s bus who explained that they had been to the Observatory! So we had to view the Hollywood sign from a shopping mall platform off of Hollywood walk of fame. The running commentary soon began to turn sourā€¦ Alberto was clearly very well informed about films and filming locations, which was of interest. Alberto was keen to point out classic cars, which was relevant to the history of LA. However we had not travelled half way around the world to hear about Fords decision to only make SUVā€™s and why he didnā€™t feel the new SUV for Porsche and so and so etc.ā€¦. arenā€™t worth the money!!!! This theme continued for the rest of the day along with complaining about the amount of holiday you get in America and his finances, his new car all intertwined with conversationā€™s about his wife. The diner was a nice place to stop and a good landmark, which was the highlight of a bad day! But this could also be due to the good company of the other passengers on the bus. We went to Venice beach I have never been to somewhere so run down, unhygienic, smelly and I felt unsafe. As for the iconic muscle beach, I have seen metal in better condition in a scarp yard! After a brief walk around we returned to the bus early. I have never posted a positive or negative report on trip advisor before and have travelled significantly. Our tour returned to the ship at 4.00pm, which was earlier than expected especially when considering we left late and that Johnsā€™ bus returned at 6.00 2hrs later than ours, I feel cheated and upset. I feel this has been a very negative experience and although it was clear Alberto was knowledgeable about LA (and he may just have been having a bad/ off day) it was to our loss and expense. This was a once in a lifetime holiday/ opportunity/ experience that can never be repeated, and I want to ensure youā€™re aware of our disappointment and the impact your tours will have on people. We felt CHEATED and LIED too. We contact Sun seekers direct but have had no response

Thank you for making the time and effort to share your comments concerning your experience with us. First, I am concerned about your last comment indicating you contacted Sunseekers direct but have had no response. I have no record of that contact and assure your that I am very concerned with your saying your felt cheated and lied to. That is VERY disturbing to me. We pride ourselves on providing our guests with honest and good service. The tour was scheduled to go from 9 to 4. John returning after 6 was exceptional. I asked him about it and apparently there were traffic issues that he encountered. Alberto was able to by-pass those conditions. We try to adjust our commentaries to fit the interests of the passengers. Apparently, we failed in that effort with you. With respect to Venice, yes, it is not very clean or attractive. We stop there due to frequent requests from our guests. We cannot do much with how good the "metal" at muscle beach is. I am very sorry that you had such a bad experience. I do, however, thank you for taking the time to complete this form and allowing me to know of the issues you presented.
