San Francisco City Hall

Alamo Square
Alamo Square Park, home of the famous Painted Ladies, is understandably iconic. If it's stunning views, green spaces and gorgeous architecture you're after, we've got plenty of other places for you to visit. 8
Haight-Ashbury
San Francisco was the epicenter of U.S. counterculture in the late 1960s, and more than 50 years later visitors still get a primal sense of that era. While the neighborhood has notably changed since The Summer of Love—with a few high-end boutiques such as John Fluevog and the occasional chain shop, like Ben & Jerry's—the Haight, as its locally known, still retains much of its hippie persona and open-minded feel. (Hop-off at any of the sites along the route, and catch another Double Decker every hour to continue on with the tour! Enjoy at your own pace!)
