Snake River Canyon
Please check in to our office at 180 Powderhorn Lane in Jackson 1/2 hour before your trip time. After checking in you will have access to restrooms and dressing rooms to prepare for your trip. Once your bus departs our office, it takes about 35 minutes to reach the "put-in" at West Table Creek Ramp on the Snake River. There are dressing rooms and pit toilets at the ramp. Our guides will be at the ramp to meet you and help you get into your gear, including life jackets and free, optional splash jackets. After your ramp orientation, you will launch and begin your 8-mile trip on the river. These 8 miles can take anywhere from just under an hour at high water to two hours very late in the season, depending on flows. Once at the take-out you walk up to your bus which will be parked near the restrooms and dressing rooms. There, you can retrieve dry clothing and change before riding back to Jackson. The bus ride home takes about 45 minutes.

My nephew and myself got an experience of a lifetime rafting in the canyon with our guide Jeff. Although my paddling skills aren't what they were 20 years ago I hd an awesome experience. Talking for myself I wish I could stayed in the raft a little longer it was an exhilerating float trip. As I said I fell out of the raft on the first rapids where we dropped into a huge hole all I remember was waves over the top of me that layed me back into the paddler behind me. The next thing I rember was about a foot or more of water above me with the sun shining through. I don' t know how I managed to hold onto the paddle but I remember reaching out to the raft which was over to the side of me and somehow two raft lengths away. Well, Jeff paddled back to pick me up and lift me back into the boat without the paddle that the ladie next to me in the raft took after pulling me back to the raft. After getting into the raft I realized the water was much warmer than the wind blowing in my face and over my body. What a great start for the trip but With all that excitement I knew that all my strength was gone from my body. Thus I lost my paddling position but the rest of the trip was just.as exciting as the first rapids on the river. It has taken meawhile to collect my thoughts because our trip was back in the last week of July. Thanks for the memories and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can only say that this trip on the snake river through thc canyon in the setting of Grand Tetons is a time I will remember the rest of my life. I hope you can read my writing. Many Thanks For Great Memories.

If you are going to Jackson Hole you have to go whitewater rafting down the Snake river. My wife and I went with our two kids 15 and 13. Our guide Orion was fantastic. He put everybody at ease and was very knowledgeable. The river had about 5 or 6 good rapids with breaks in between which was great for our first time whitewater rafting. The water is pretty cold so wear the provided splash jacket.

We had a great time rafting with Joe. He was interesting and good with the kids and adults alike. The trip was the right amount of adventure including “surfing”, swimming, and the Big Kahuna. Definitely recommend Lewis and Clark!

The Big Kahuna is an August highlight, for sure. Glad you had a great time.
