Snake River Canyon
Please check in to our office at 180 Powderhorn Lane in Jackson 1/2 hour before your trip time. After checking in you will have access to restrooms and dressing rooms to prepare for your trip. Once your bus departs our office, it takes about 35 minutes to reach the "put-in" at West Table Creek Ramp on the Snake River. There are dressing rooms and pit toilets at the ramp. Our guides will be at the ramp to meet you and help you get into your gear, including life jackets and free, optional splash jackets. After your ramp orientation, you will launch and begin your 8-mile trip on the river. These 8 miles can take anywhere from just under an hour at high water to two hours very late in the season, depending on flows. Once at the take-out you walk up to your bus which will be parked near the restrooms and dressing rooms. There, you can retrieve dry clothing and change before riding back to Jackson. The bus ride home takes about 45 minutes.

WET FUN FOR ALL We visited Jackson early August and “ran” the snake river with Lewis and Clark. We had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff was super friendly and they quickly helped us sign our waivers, helped us rent some “water socks” for one that forgot to pack and helped us rent a goPro camera so we could record our adventure. Two points on that, go to their web site prior to arrival and fill out and sigh the waivers, it will save you some time. If you plan to rent a goPro bring your own micro SD card. They sell them but you can same money if you bring your own card. The rental of the camera was like $25. They take pictures from above as you float the river but the video from the goPro puts you right in the middle of it. The bus ride out to the put in point is not short but is pretty. It is about 20 miles south of Jackson. Our tour guide Steve was awesome. Very funny, and skilled running the river. On our trip on the river was very wet and wild but not crazy wild. It would have been fun if it rougher but we had a blast. It was quite windy in the canyon and if you are prone to getting cold take the provided “Splash Jacket” You will be happy you did. Some in our party did some did not but all wished they would have! If you are going early in the morning (like before 11:00 I’d say think about wet suits – they rent them) Bring a change of clothing and towels on the bus as your ride back to town is about 30 miles and wet and cold is no fun. Over all noting bad to say about this, very professional, friendly company! We had an unforgettable time and when we visit again we will use Lewis and Clark for our river adventure without a doubt

First time I had ever gone white water rafting. We had an absolute blast. Our guide was Luke and he was awesome with grownups and the kids. The scenery was beautiful and every single person on the raft had an awesome time. Thank you Luke!

Our family with kids ages 18, 16, and 12 had a great trip with Lewis and Clark during our visit to the Tetons. We had Aaron as our guide and he made it fun and informative. We saw eagles, osprey, marmots and even a beaver during our evening raft. The dinner was delicious and made for a fun evening meeting other families. This is a locally owned company and they go above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable for everyone. We have been rafting before in Colorado and these rapids are not a strong but still fun and our kids said it "exceeded their expectations" which rarely comes out of their mouths. Highly recommend.
