Overview

Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

We had an outstanding rafting trip with our guide Mark. Despite snow the night before, we opted to raft and although it was brisk, we had a wonderful time. Downstreams Adventures was very professional and took every recommended COVID precaution to protect us. Our guide was very experienced and helpful. We felt very safe. We very much recommend the clear creek rafting trip for an adventurous person not afraid to get a little wet.

We had the greatest rafting experience today. Aaron was our raft guide and he was the absolute best! He was extremely positive, knowledgeable and we knew we were in good hands (this was my first rafting trip and I was a bit nervous at first). The rest of the staff was wonderful, too. This was totally worth every penny and I plan on scheduling another trip with the rest of my family soon! Highly recommend!!
