Overview

Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

Downstream Adventures made this so fun and super organized. They were timely, animated, safe, and made everyone feel comfortable. They changed the area of the river we were rafting based on current conditions to make sure it was the experience everyone had booked. Curt made it super fun, super safe, and an all-around great time. We will be back!! If you are thinking of booking with this guiding company, you definitely should!!!

Everything about this experience was easy and fun! As long as you listen to one your dope raft guides, you’ll make it out alive! Definitely will be back!

We met our cousins and their family members for our trip although we couldn’t book in advance, we were able to get a time scheduled, the owners were great to work with. Our guides were very good, my 76 year old dad down to my 17 year old were able to raft without incident. I felt safe with Mark and Max taking care of us. They shared interesting facts about the mining along the creek. We had a great time.
