Overview

Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

Downstream Adventures really has their act together! From booking, to check in, to the rafting excursion down the river, Downstream Adventures made the experience convenient so we could focus on having an amazing experience on the water. Our guides were very professional but also a ton of fun. I booked a trip, and we had 6 guys. We loved the adrenaline rush of the rafting, getting splashed by the big rapids, and working together with our guide to make the ride as exciting as possible. It was most of our groups first time, and we were all hungry for bigger rapids after this trip! If you are a group of strong individuals, who have little fear of water, I recommend trying the Advanced trip. Our group would certainly recommend Downstream Adventures to anyone interested! Cheers!

Had a great experience with this company. I would recommend them highly. Great first experience rafting. Definitely rent the boots instead of bringing water shoes. That water is COLD!

Our guide was great and the trip was fantastic. Lots of exciting rapids. Will definitely return. A great bonding experience with my husband and my 14 year old son.
