Overview

Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

This trip was amazing. Our kids are 20 and 18 and we all absolutely loved it! It was our first time and our guide Mark ensured a wonderful experience and he did not disappoint. He too was amazing. I highly recommend this tour and this company. Start to finish, they took care of us.

Absolutely terrific rafting experience!! The rapids are definitely legit and our group of 6 were all able to be in one raft. Aaron kept us safe and got us through all the whitewater. There is a bus ride that was a touch longer than we expected (20-ish minutes) but Luke, our leader for the day, kept us entertained. The river is beautiful and there are some fun things like rafting beneath one of the rope crossings from the adventure center. We had a great time! Signed, a group of moms on their annual girls’ trip.

I had a great trip on Clear Creek with the Downstream Adventures Rafting. They were friendly and ensured we all had a great time on the water. I always felt safe and proper safety measures were in place throughout the trip!
