Overview

Minutes from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs State Park mermaids see the river from a whole new perspective with this clear kayaking ecotour! Kayak through a quiet estuary where, fresh and salt water mix, before paddling up the very active and beautiful spring-fed waters of the river. Be on the lookout for wildlife like manatees, turtles, fish, birds and dolphins! A great adventure for beginner paddlers but we do paddle upstream for the first half of the tour, which is a workout and worth the drift paddle back to the launch site. Your guide will stop for pics along the away! Expect an adventure that is part wild and part urban as this iconic river is a popular one to enjoy living and recreating on! We stay in our kayaks for the duration of the tour. Please remember the river and wildlife is subject to daily changes in behavior and conditions. All kayaks are tandem. Weight limit of 250lbs per seat and 425lbs per kayak. One adult to one child is required unless otherwise arranged.

Individual cannot exceed 250lbs per manufactures restrictions and the combined weight of 2 paddlers cannot exceed 425lbs
All kayaks are tandem unless otherwise arranged
We stay in our kayaks for the duration of the tour
Children under 3 are prohibited from participating due to safety reasons
A ratio of one adult to one child (3-17) is required to participate in this tour

What a relaxing and fun experience! Our guide, Lisa, was so patient with the new kayakers and very knowledgeable about Florida. We were lucky enough to see two manatees courting and got lots of photos and videos. Definitely worth the price and the drive from our rental condo!

Clear kayaks in Weeki Wachee, definitely worth the drive from St Petes beach. Taylor, our guide was very well versed in both the flora and fauna found along our route. Everything was very relaxing and Taylor knew were to find the manatees ;). The water is clear and a cool 72 degrees and the tour operators our eco friendly. Highly recommended.
