Minutes from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs State Park mermaids see the river from a whole new perspective with this kayaking tour! Ride in a clear kayak- which has the advantage of greater visibility of the underwater world. Kayak quiet and calm coastal waters before paddling up the active and beautiful spring-fed waters of the river. Be on the lookout for wildlife like manatees, turtles, fish, birds and much more! A great adventure for beginners but we do paddle upstream for the first half of the tour, which is a great workout and worth the drift paddle back to the launch site. Your guide will stop for pics along the away! Expect an adventure that is part wild and part urban as this iconic river is a popular one to enjoy living and recreating on! We stay in our kayaks for the duration of the tour. Please remember the river and wildlife is subject to daily changes in behavior and conditions. All kayaks are tandem. Weight limit of 250lbs per seat and 425lbs per kayak.

This was such a great experience! We took our 9 year old son with us and it was his first time. The wind would sometimes make it a little challenging in some areas but our guide Taylor was incredibly sweet and encouraging and let him know he was doing a good job when he would get frustrated. She was very knowledgeable about all the species of animals and plants in the area. Towards the end of the tour we got to see two manatees and it was just a truly magical experience. Taylor took pictures and videos for the group and even suggested some local restaurants for us to have lunch (we went to the Silver Dolphin and it had a beautiful garden). I’ve been on several kayaking tours but this was definitely my favorite and I highly recommend it!

This clear kayak tour in Weeki Wachee was an amazing experience. Our tour guide Taylor and her husband was very knowledgeable about the Weeki Wachee River. We were able to see manatees in the spring water of the Weeki Wachee River during our kayaking tour. This kayak tour is a must with Taylor and her husband if you are looking for experienced tour guides.

Weeki Wachee is a beautiful river. Having local staff that knew the river provided for a fun paddle! We had an amazing time, saw plenty of wildlife (including a manatee). Staff provided ample instructions for those of us without much water experience. The clear kayaks made the trip more memorable because of how much more you could see and experience. Can’t wait to visit other locations!
