I purchased a last minute Groupon for my daughter and I to go on the dolphin tour. I followed the website instructions and requested my 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice dates and times (48 hours in advance as they say to) and got my first choice approved for the 2:30 pm cruise. We took all the info from the site regarding parking and rode the ferry as they suggested. So much easier than paying for expensive marina parking. The website indicates the tax isn’t included, so it was $1.50/ea when we checked in and I was fully aware. Was pleasantly surprised to find out they offered the purchase of a refillable mug for soft drinks and “adult” drinks as well (for a reduced price) and fully took advantage. Inexpensive and worth it considering the time of day and the extreme heat. I can’t say enough great things about the crew. The female tour guide was phenomenal in her narration of the area homes and giving tidbits on the marine life & dolphins. And she kept us fully informed of where the dolphins were as we came upon them. We saw so many dolphins! And babies, too. The Captain was able to engage the dolphins and get them to jump through our wakes. They even worked with two other boats in the area to get the dolphins to play. We got so many pictures and videos. Best. Dolphin. Tour. Ever! Which I know seeing dolphins is a crapshoot, but we struck gold!!!! Brian the Bartender was wonderful; he engaged my teenage daughter answering all of her questions (and there were a lot!) about marine life, locations, sharks, dolphins, boats, etc. Not once did he ever seem disinterested. He answered every question and was extremely personable throughout the trip - as both a bartender and a crew member. Not to mention he makes great drinks! Would definitely do this cruise again. Had a great time with a great crew and saw many beautiful dolphins!

We saw a few fins... a few tales and at one point a short glimpse of a dolphin in another boats wake. The boat is clean and we enjoyed the commentary from the Captain on the history of the area. Children get a Dolphin Spotter Certificate. I found that thoughtful to give the children something to take away. You can purchase drinks and snacks on board or prepay a drink package. What I did not like is the smallest drink package is only available for a child. The soft drinks come from a 2 litre bottle. The lemonade is very good and refreshing. Honestly, if you have time pack your own snacks (if you really need it) and bring your own water. If you take a picture before boarding the boat, it will be printed while you are on the boat and the cost is $15. I will admit when I read up on dolphin tours it did give me grandiose expectations that I would be seeing many of them in their natural habitat. The tour guarantees dolphin sightings but you have to understand that dolphins are wild animals and that you cannot control them. If you have this in mind then you won't be too disappointed.

We saw many dolphins on this cruise. After watching the dolphins swim and play and we saw many different pods, we cruised up and down the beach with our guide, Brian, giving history of Clearwater beach. He also pointed out many gorgeous homes with a bit of history about them. Good mixed and frozen drinks.
