I would give them a 0 if I could. I am beyond disappointed. They discriminated against my husband who is a disabled Veteran. He is in a small mobility scooter and when we tried to board the boat, Captain Josh refused to have him ride because of his motorized scooter. The boat is advertised as a mobility accessible cruise but there were no requirements about what type of wheelchair is allowed anywhere online when booking, or on site at the window. Apparently they changed their policy today, at the time we were getting on the boat. This was after the tickets were purchased and our party of 8 stood in line for 20 minutes right in front of the cashier. There is nothing in writing that states motorized wheelchairs are not allowed. They saw him in this scooter and didn’t say anything in advance. They embarrassed us in front of everyone else boarding to tell us we couldn’t board. Clearly Captain Josh has an issue with disabled veterans and also told us that they didn’t need to be ADA compliant. Then, he did give us the option to get on the boat if my husband could walk onto the boat. If that was possible, we wouldn’t need the wheelchair. Don’t advertise that you are handicap friendly and then turn people away. I would not support this business.

We apologize that this was your experience but we have always been accessible to standard manual wheelchairs only. We have clarified this language now that it has been brought to our attention that some misinterpreted our policy. In no way do we discriminate against any group. The policy for motorized chairs is one for safety of both our guests and our crew as we utilize a fixed dock and pivoting ramp with changing tidal conditions.
