Well, that is is if your worst nightmare is like mine and involves heights, narrow/rickety walkways, and an irrational fear of ladders. OK, not really a fear of ladders but I have been stuck on my roof before. So the idea of me voluntarily climbing up a giant tower and intentionally walking out on an obstacle course is not something I would have believed me doing. Fortunately for me, the people at C.B. Aerial Adventures believed I could do it.
Let me back up a bit and say that my family and I all watched with curiosity after the first set of poles went up until we finally saw the "Now Open" sign and immediately stopped in to see what it was all about. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic while they explained the course layout, safety features, and different options. We didn't have time right then but returned about a week later and my husband and kids (all 11 and under) took to the course while I took pictures from the safety of the ground below. Everyone loved it, even though only my husband and oldest girl actually made it through all the obstacles. (And there is a big difference between "making it through" and "mastering" an obstacle.) In fact, they loved it so much that we decided to buy annual passes (for the kids), knowing that we'd be back often.
What I didn't plan on was that over the next few visits the staff would talk me into getting out on the course. And this really is the main point of this review and what I think is so great about CB Aerial Adventures...the people and their attitudes. Do they have a great playground? Sure. Are they nice and professional? Yep. But more than that, they are supportive, understanding, enthusiastic, positive, encouraging, and so much more. My kids were having a great time, getting exercise, and building confidence but for some reason I didn't think that the same could apply to me. (I wasn't kidding about getting stuck on a roof after climbing a ladder.) But Kelly was so great in showing me how it wasn't just for kids. She understood my fears and worked with me to ease onto the first obstacle (and back), until finally I could make the whole first loop.
Now the kids and I go pretty frequently and always have a great time. The positive attitude of everyone combined with a fun and challenging outdoor activity make it one of the best things that has come to the area in a long time. Highly recommended for the whole family.

Colleen,
Wow, not going to lie...I was a little confused (and a little nervous) when I saw the title of your review coupled with the 5 star rating. Thank you for sharing your experience and for all the wonderful things you said about CBAA. I am so glad that you and the kids come to play here regularly. We have really enjoyed getting to know the family. See you for the bday gathering soon!
