Overview

With the help of our roaster guide you will learn how coffee is processed and roasted and the impacts on flavors. As one of the largest certified Organic coffee Farm in Kona we do all our roast in house. You will participate in 2 of our production roast and will be able to run the second one yourself with the elp of our roaster.

My husband and I are coffee lovers and we were always a curious how coffee was made. We found Hala tree online since we were looking at what to do on Kona. The scenery is beautiful and the coffee was delicious. Very relaxing and breath taking.

We ordered a bunch of coffee from here for our wedding gifts so we wanted to visit the farm in person. We did a free tour and then a coffee tasting. The tour was very informational and the guide did a great job answering a lot of questions about coffee but also all the other plants and things on site. The outdoor tasting location was excellent, and we tried three great coffees. Unfortunately the "honey" coffee we wanted most was out of stock in store and we were told the only option was to buy it online and have it shipped which would be a lot more expensive so we didn't end up buying anything else. The owner could benefit from being more personable and customer-friendly but the rest of the staff we met we excellent!

We are sorry to hear that you had to leave without your favorite coffee. At the end of the season, we are sold out of some of the most popular coffees. We are also roasting in small batches so the coffee on our shelves is always fresh. We are roasting multiple time per week, but it does happen that some coffees are sold out before we have time to get around to the next batch. Customers can take advantage of our free shipping option for any orders aver $75 and have the freshly roasted coffee delivered to your home.

We are so happy that we found this tour while we were on the Big Island and cannot believe it was free! Our tour guide was informative and knowledgeable. It really makes you appreciate the effort that goes into making a delicious, organic cup of coffee. We also highly recommend doing one of their tastings - it was a great way to pick out a few coffees to bring home with us!
