College Football Hall of Fame
Founded in 1951 by the National Football Foundation, the College Football Hall of Fame immortalizes the greatest of the amateur gridiron. 5.1 million people have coached or played the game and less than 1,300 are inductees in the Hall. This makes the College Football Hall of Fame an extremely selective group of individuals. In 2014, the College Football Hall of Fame opened in Atlanta, a major hub of college football activity, a convention and tourist destination, and home of one of the nation’s busiest airports. It’s a $68.5 million, 95,000 square foot, state-of-the-art tribute to 977 players, 211 coaches, and countless fans. Three floors, five themed galleries and over 50 interactive exhibits, including a 47-yard football field and a three-story wall of over 750 college football helmets, awaits visitors.

If you have every been to the Football HOF in Ohio, or the Baseball HOF in NY, you will understand what I say when there is so much stuff to see and plaques to read that by the end of the day you are exhausted? And it takes like 7 hours to see everything and you still miss stuff? This is not like that. This is actually a very well laid out and interractive display. The badge you are issued is RFID enabled, and you register with your name and your fave college team. The badge then allows you to interract with displays throughout the building. There is alot to see, but everything is like a cultivated "best of the best" so that you get a wide variety of history and unique items, but for the most part, you aren't spending hours reading plaques and looking at every single ticket soon from every single have that a team ever played. In addition, there is some physical stuff for both kids and adults--throwing and kicking challenges, cornhole, there was a DJ blasting music (we went on a Saturday morning). All in all, a good experience. It is handicapped accessible for wheelchairs, and there are benches spread around seating. Elevators are available for those who cannot handle the steps between three floors, and there are plenty of bathroom facilities.

Took my cousin, who is a college football fan, and had a great time. Lots of interactive exhibits and activities for everyone - calling a football play, testing to see if you'd survive the combine, singing your college fight song. Fascinating to see the history of football equipment and uniforms. A very pleasant surprise, and a lot more entertaining than other Atlanta tourist attractions.

This was a fun interactive place. There were fun things for my boys to do like “fight song karaoke” and “college game day broadcast.” You can also announce a play in a game. The kids enjoyed the indoor skills field. The t-shirts in the gift shop were grossly overpriced... most were $29.99, and some were $39.99. I’m talking t-shirts, not hoodies.
