my entire family enjoyed our time in this city. My kids are 10 and 8 and they both loved being around such great American History. You really appreciate what our American people went through during this time. It taught you first had the troubles and accomplishments that occurred. 100% recommend to anyone who truly wants to learn about our History in a fantastic way. A true walk back in time and perfect way to experience the 1700's.

We visited colonial Williamsburg and did enjoy it quite a bit. The price was $40.00 per person, but we got 50% off 1 educator and 50% off 1 person with a disability. Pros: the governor's palace, trade stores and the 5 pm fife and drum core were our favorites. Most everyone was accommodating and pleasant. We attended an evening play (extra cost) and it was great! Part of the cost of entry is for the shuttle and it we used it quite a bit-well worth using it. Cons: some issues of people stepping out of character frequently and complaining about something-but it was pretty miserable for them in constume in the heat (they were having a heat wave) Food-expect pricey, hey it's tourist land. The 50% off for disability was fair-there are several areas that if you have walking issues you can't access them. They do have a company that rents scooters-we did not use one so I don't know how much it cost, but people who did rent them seemed pretty happy with them.

Really enjoyed touring some of the early homes, the Governor's palace and walking down the street with the Drum and Fife
