We really enjoyed this trip and glad we chose Stan Stephens as our cruise company. Plentiful wildlife (whales, puffins, sea lions, sea otters and more) but also how close we were able to get to the Glacier as well. The included lunch was nice and the staff were all very courteous and friendly to us.

We did this cruise after being on a 7 day cruise. We saw more close-up of a glacier and wildlife. The cruise last all day. We start early in the morning. The captain took us out of the original planned course because he wanted to show us what he thought was a whale. The water in front of Columbia Glacier was full of ice. Some pieces of ice were huge. The captain had to slowly move us through the ice. We were able to walk outside and look. We saw sea lions, seals and otters.

Capt. Al was informative, knew his birds, fish, mammals (both land and sea) history, and, as far as I could tell, how to run a boat. Deckhands like Jared helped served clam chowder or minestrone soup for lunch. Captain Al slowed the "Glacier Spirit" for wildlife sightings, and the crew all looked hard to spot wildlife. We saw eagles, humpback whales, a nanny mountain goat with kid, Stellar sea lions, otters, harbor seals, and porpoises.
