In addition to the stars, the myriad of protected wildlife around you, and the Comb Jelly’s bioluminescence, their “ribs” are lined with cilia that they use to propel themselves, so when you cast a flashlight on them just right, they’ll also refract a dynamic rainbow-y light show! What to bring:
Clothes you don’t mind getting a little wet. Towel (left in car)
Water Shoes – sandals or Crocs that can be worn in the water
Bring an extra change of clothes just in case
Camera & Dry bag (optional) These are fairly useless to capture bioluminescence, but great for capturing people.
Bottled water, Snacks
Any special personal paddling gear if you like
You may bring a flashlight, though we will provide a safety light.

We had an amazing trip with Chaz! He was a great guide and knew all the spots to find the coolest comb jellies. I would highly recommend this tour - it was so fun and informative.

What a fantastic experience and Chaz was an absolute star! My wife and I did a road trip around Florida visiting several great places but this was without doubt the highlight of our holiday. Apprehensive at first but Chaz soon put us at ease as we explored the darkness around us, taking in the jellies, the gurgling and sniffing Manatees, distant Gators, terrific birdlife and jumping fish. I fully recommend this trip to anyone, if nature is your thing. To the next time we cross the pond Chaz, thanks for a wonderful evening.

This was truly unforgettable, thanks to Chaz, our awesome guide! He shared so many stories and so much knowledge about everything that surrounded us . He went through all the safety features carefully and effectively, this is important to me. We could tell he loves what he does and that’s what really made this tour an experience to remember!
