What To Expect
1

2
New Orleans City Park
Stop in City Park for a visit to the Morning Call Cafe for coffee and beignets.
3
Lower 9th Ward
In addition, see the Ninth Ward, a neighborhood devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
4
Garden District
View the Garden District with its vast mansions that line pristine boulevards and Faubourg Treme — one of the oldest African-American neighborhoods in the country, dating back to the 1700s.
5
Warehouse District
Pass through the Warehouse District, home of the internationally acclaimed World War II Museum, and by the Contemporary Arts Center, one of the country’s first art institutions. The tour also makes a brief stop at a cemetery to see the city’s distinctive, above-ground tombs.
6
Oak Alley Plantation
Then travel to the beautiful Oak Alley Plantation, located on the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Movies such as 'Interview with a Vampire' and 'Midnight Bayou' were filmed there. Select from a morning or afternoon departure time. The tour ends with a New Orleans hotel drop-off.

Took the 9am tour and would say best time of day to go to Oak Alley. As it turned out we were the only couple in the SUV to the plantation. Lovely ride took about 1.15 hours to get there.
We were returned to our hotel about 12:45 and got picked up in a Mimi bus at 1:20. The tour of the city was comprehensive. The only problem was that there were so many pick 70's, but that is s something that can't be helped.

We really enjoyed the Oak Alley Plantation tour. Guide Anthony was excellent explaining many details and answering questions. The self- guided tour was well outlined on the grounds, too. However our ride to the Plantation and back had NO GUIDE, only a driver. We received NO information while we rode for 2 hours. This was MOST DISAPPOINTING for the price we paid.
Our City Tour driver and guide, Darren, was superb. He explained the history and development of the city with interesting detail and humour as well as chosen musical selections. We received a great introduction to the activities and events in the city which helped us plan the rest of our visit. We would certainly recommend this part of the Combo.
