As a family of four with two teens, we enjoyed the glass making displays, however, they all seemed to make similar bowls! We were disappointed they didn’t coordinate making different items at each of the different spots you can watch them make glassware across the day. Booked weeks in advance, our two teens especially enjoyed making their own blown glass ornaments. Make sure you’re still in the area the following day to pick up your items as they need to cool slowly over 12+ hrs. We thought we’d only be there a couple of hours, but we were actually there just over 4 hrs. A very good day out.

Thanks for leaving a review! Sometimes our gaffers make similar objects throughout the day as only having have 30 minutes for a demo limits the options of what they can make to vessels such as bowls and pitchers. However, each gaffer has their own style that they incorporate into the works. You can also see other demos throughout the day as well, including Glass Breaking and Flameworking, all included in admission. I'm glad to hear that your teens were able to make their own unique souvenirs and that you spent longer here than you planned. Thanks for visiting, we hope to see you again soon!

Beautiful, educational, amazing, intriguing, awesome, exciting. Exhibits are wonderful, displays and artwork exceptional. Destination to work plans around...allow plenty of time, don't try to rush through. You'll be happy you did!

Our average visit is between 4 to 5 hours so we agree wandering at a leisurely pace to be the best plan! As well, visitors can utilize the two consecutive days of admission to explore the Museum, the surrounding area, and maybe even try their hand at making glass! Thanks for visiting, we hope to see you again.

Amazing place. The materials in the museum is mind blowing. The pace is at your leisure and manageable. The architect and presentation was inspiring. Liked the live demonstration. It was worth seeing how they make the Flower Vase etc. We found the shop, as you enter, a bit of distraction, although some of the stuff displayed for sale were amazing but pricey and not all came from Corning. Make sure you have at least 4 hrs and do not miss the presentations.

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to leave a review. It sounds like you had a great experience in general. As we have extended hours from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year, there is plenty of time to experience the art, history, and science of glass when you visit during the summer. That added to two consecutive days of admission and Kids and Teens 17 and Under receiving free admission makes the Museum a great place to explore at your own pace.
