My husband and I loved it. We loved the live demonstration in the hot shop. I loved the contemporary art. The museum is packed full of nooks and crannies of interesting works of glass and history of glass. The gift shop is large and had a large spectrum of glass items to purchase from $25-$5500 and probably more. We enjoyed the discounts in the kitchen area and came home with lots of beautiful cookware. We also participated in a glassblowing pumpkin class and had our own small pumpkins made. Our participation is actually very small, but a memorable and educational experience. We will treasure them. The fall has brought beautiful colors to the outside landscape. Tickets are good for two days. We enjoyed two days. Parking was easy and access to everything was easy and clear to understand. Plenty of bathrooms and places to sit and rest when needed. We will be back.

Our group stopped at this beautiful museum in Corning, NY. One highlight of my trip to the museum was watching how they create the glass pumpkins in the museum hot shop. I also loved the 35 Centuries of Glass exhibit where we see glass objects throughout the ages. I'd give yourself two hours minimum to look over the exhibits. Don't miss the museum shop. It's huge and interesting.

This is a beautiful museum. I wasn't sure what to expect, but so glad we went. The museum was lovely to visit when the fall colors started to show in the trees. The facility itself was quite large and reminded me of some of the museums in NYC. There are various exhibitions including contemporary works, and also historical and international pieces. We especially enjoyed watching the glass-blowing demonstration. At the time, they showed a demonstration of a hand-blown glass pumpkin. The amphitheater was quite impressive, and roomy enough for some social distancing as well. We ate lunch in the cafe. It's cafeteria style, but enough options for everyone. We weren't particularly wowed by the quality of the food, but the setting of the dining room makes up for the average food. The dining area is surrounded by windows (of course) so you could enjoy the scenery outside while being indoors. We booked our ticket for a specific entry time. We arrived a few hours late coming from Watkins Glen. They didn't seen to even notice that we were late, which was a good thing for us! Last but not least, there is a huge gift shop. Just the gift shop alone can entertain you for nearly an hour. You will most likely go home with a souvenir or two. We went home with a few glass pumpkins to celebrate the fall season. The drive to and from Corning was really beautiful. If you plan to be in the area, make sure you put CMOG on your itinerary for a visit!
