Great place! We received tickets to the Corning Museum of Glass and the Rockwell Museum as part of the Discover package at our hotel. After looking up the latter, we decided to skip Rockwell and spend the whole day here. It was a rainy day, and a trip to the museum was definitely the way to spend it. We took our time going through the exhibits, which took about three or four hours at most. Though there were many visitors, it didn't seem crowded at all. There was plenty of space, and I think the space definitely added to the calmness and beauty of the museum. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. I saw many young children and teenagers also engaged; there was a scavenger hunt to find Mr. Sun for the young ones, and a digital QR code hunt for the older ones. There is a cafe, though we did not go to it. The third floor is the shop. It was nice going through most of the items, but nothing that really struck me as something I wanted to purchase. It was just nice browsing through them.

Thank you for your review! We are so glad you were able to spend a rainy day with us. It sounds like you were able visit many areas of the Museum while you were here and really take advantage of all that the Museum has to offer. You're correct, we do have a large cafe on site, and if the weather is nice, many picnic areas outside of the Museum as well. We can't wait to see you on your next visit! Thanks again for visiting and for taking the time to leave a review.

First stop on a vacation dedicated to the Finger Lakes- the Corning Glass Museum is a MUST! Had read so many positive reviews and found so much of what was previously noted to be absolute truth. We arrived later in the afternoon on a Friday and the timing was perfect. Not crowded at all. The museum has beautiful galleries and the openness and airy feel goes along with what is featured. We did not get to see every area as one of our goals was to see as many live demos as we could… we saw three demos and they were fantastic. We have such appreciation for the men and women glassblowers- all of the presentations are really well done, combine excellent tech features and are very upbeat and informative. There is so much history here. So many great displays that allow you to linger and learn. Highly recommend visiting! Gift Shop is beautiful and expansive- love that they highlight what is “locally produced”- it’s what I purchased.

It sounds like the live Hot Glass Demonstration was a highlight for you. It is definitely a visitor favorite! I will be sharing your feedback with the manager of Hot Glass Programs so that he can share your kind words with his team. Thanks again for visiting! We hope to see you again soon!
