My partner and I have been on various ghost tours. We have been on ones very historically based, who only tell historical and true crime facts along with ghost stories that are corroborated by documents such as newspaper clippings or court files. We have also been on tours that simply tell all the local myths and folklore. both of these tours can be very enjoyable. However, this tour was not it. The tour guide shared that he was simply reading off a script, so I am not personally insulting him when I say that either a delusional or simply lazy yet imaginative person wrote the āscriptā for this tour. Nothing shared on this tour was backed up factually by anything. In every sense of the word, every story on this tour was completely un-corroborated, even down to some small details. (I am aware this is not a historical tour - but these stories were off the wall. This tour not only warranted a slight suspension of disbelief for the sake of fun, but the suspension of all sense and reason - and it was lacking in many ghost stories in general. Which is what my partner and I booked the tour for to begin with).
I see many great reviews for the tours provided in San Antonio, so I believe the tour in Corpus is just really undeveloped and should at this point be suspended until they can get better stories with at least a few real details to make the spooky side of the tour seem real enough to actually be fun. (This was our tour guideās third time ever doing this tour and he had bad allergies. I have no ill will toward him).
Overall, I am extremely upset I spent money on this. Do not do it.
