Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
Real stories that must be told - that’s what you'll experience at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Start your journey through country music history with Sing Me Back Home: The Journey Begins, Folk Roots to the 1960s. This exciting multi-layered experience tells the story of country music’s humble folk roots, and tracks its evolution into the 1960s. In 2010, the museum opened an all-new exhibit experience, expanding on Sing Me Back Home with Dreaming My Dreams: The Journey Continues, 1960s to the Present. This expansion included the addition of hundreds of new artifacts and multimedia elements that focus on country music’s recent history. The history comes to life with every era of country music represented.

This is must-see in Nashville. We used our All Nashville Access Pass for tickets and it was well worth the visit. There are 2 floors of exhibits in the museum. It chronicles the history of Country Music from its roots until the present with a Kacey Musgraves' Exhibit. There are thousands of artifacts and you see how the country music timeline developed over time. It's like the Baseball Hall of Fame in that one part is the museum and the other part is the area where all the award plaques are housed. The actual Hall of Fame is on the first floor and holds all the plaques dedicated to the Hall of Fame inductees. Wish we had seen the Ken Burns Nashville series before we went. Really enjoyed every aspect of the musuem and would highly recommend it to any Nashville visitor. You don't have to be a Country fan to enjoy it all because so much of its history is the history of our nation.

Enjoyed the museum, which is the main portion of the venue. The Hall of Fame needs just 10 minutes of your time. I’m not a fan of country music, but remember many of the performers who cross over to rock n roll and folk.

We were in Nashville when it was crazy, unexpectedly hot, so we needed something to do to get out of the heat for a bit and we chose this. It was interesting. That said, if the weather would have been better, I would have rather been doing something else.
