We are a true Eco Tour company in the state of California using wagons and mules to tour an ancient wilderness. You will have to go to Colorado or Montana in the summer to do something like this. A truly unique western experience. Where can you take a wagon tour pulled by mules into the desert wilderness in the world? No where but here!

We are an authentic and unique desert tour that showcases the natural flora and fauna of the Palm Springs Desert ecosystem. Our live entertainment is professional and very enjoyable. We offer optional dancing lessons, games and great food. The most total inclusive and immersive desert experience in the Coachella Valley. Adventurous, educational, beautiful, unique, fun, delicious, happy, Hallmark Movie is what we have been described on our reviews! The good old days are still here at Covered Wagons!

What a super fun time!!! We went for a covered wagon ride out to a palm oasis in the foothills of Joshua Tree, during the ride we learned all about the area and vegetation. There was a live band playing, line dancing, and the best BBQ I have ever had, the brisket was amazing. We plan to go again. I highly recommend it if you're in the area. Cowboy Tommy is a great host!!!

This is an absolute gem in the Palm Springs area! Our family had an incredible time from start to finish. We started with the lasso lesson and gun twirling demonstration (fake guns of course!), then it was off on the mule drawn wagon to a desert oasis where we learned all about native plants and the San Andreas Fault. We returned to camp and enjoyed a barn dance before sitting down to homestyle brisket and chicken dinner with all of the fixings. All the while we enjoyed classic American/Western folk tunes performed by professional singer. What a night! It was the highlight of our week.

We had so much fun! The evening started with a rope lasso & gun slinging demonstration, followed by a lovely sunset wagon ride to a dessert oasis. Then, all 30ish of the guests, ages 2 to 70, did a fun line dance with a live banjo musician. Everyone was laughing and smiling! Then we had a yummy bbq dinner under the stars. The apple berry pie for dessert was amazing! The evening wrapped up with roasting marshmallows and a surprise visit from the Easter bunny. Thank you for such a special evening that we will remember forever!
