At this unique location, the experience is elevated by the presence of a local on-site Brewmaster who expertly taps an array of unique beers and seltzers, all brewed in-house. This commitment to local brewing excellence ensures that each visit offers a new and exciting taste experience. As part of our tour, Rock Bottom stands out as a testament to Denver's vibrant brewing scene, showcasing the city's flair for combining traditional brewing techniques with modern twists. Daniels and Fisher Tower
The Daniels and Fisher Clock Tower, a historic and iconic landmark in Denver, stands as a proud reminder of the city's rich heritage. Originally part of the Daniels & Fisher department store, which was one of the largest retail establishments west of the Mississippi River, the tower was completed in 1910. This stunning example of Renaissance Revival architecture is most famous for its 16th-story observation deck, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains and the Denver skyline. The tower's intricate details, including its four giant clock faces, each measuring 16 feet in diameter, add to its architectural splendor. Having survived the demolition of the original department store in the 1970s, the Daniels and Fisher Clock Tower now stands as a solitary monument in the heart of downtown Denver. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists, not only for its historical significance but also for the unique perspective it offers on the city.
3
Larimer Square
On the Denver Microbrew Tour, our route takes us near the iconic Larimer Square, Denver's most historic and vibrant district. While we don't stop here, our proximity allows for a wonderful view of this picturesque area. Larimer Square, known as Denver's oldest block, is a visual feast with beautifully preserved Victorian buildings and twinkling lights that create an enchanting ambiance. This lively area is brimming with independent shops, top-notch restaurants, and entertainment venues. As we pass nearby, you'll experience the fusion of Denver's rich history and its dynamic modernity, a fitting backdrop as we delve into the city's celebrated brewery culture.
4
Dairy Block
Stylish urban complex with a range of buzzy bars & restaurants, plus upscale boutiques & a hotel.
5
LoDo
LoDo, short for Lower Downtown, is the pulsing heart of Denver's urban revival. This vibrant neighborhood, rich in history, is famed for its cobblestone streets and red-brick buildings that blend the charm of the old with the buzz of the new. As Denver's oldest district, LoDo is a bustling hub of trendy restaurants, stylish boutiques, lively bars, and renowned art galleries. It's a place where the city's past as a key trading post melds seamlessly with a contemporary lifestyle, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the dynamic spirit of Denver.
6
The Wynkoop
Wynkoop Brewing Company, a cornerstone of Denver's craft beer scene, is an essential stop on our LoDo Craft Beer Tour. Esteemed as the city's first brewpub, Wynkoop was founded in 1988 by a group including John Hickenlooper, who later became Colorado's governor and a U.S. Senator. This historic establishment helped pioneer the craft beer movement in Denver, transforming the city into a brewing powerhouse. Located in a classic 19th-century warehouse, Wynkoop brews a diverse range of beers, from traditional ales to experimental brews. The brewpub combines a rustic, historic ambiance with a lively, welcoming atmosphere, making it the perfect place to experience the roots of Denver's beer culture. As you enjoy their handcrafted beers, you're not just tasting a drink; you're savoring a piece of Denver's history. Wynkoop Brewing Company is more than a brewery; it's a landmark where beer, history, and community converge.

I live in Denver and I wanted to do something fun and different for my partner's bday and I'm so glad I did this tour! I love beer, but I'm gluten-sensitive (but I pretended I wasn't for this tour lmao) and it was totally worth it! I DEFINITELY recommend you do this tour with the guide Matt Slayter if you can because he definitely slayed (sorry, I had to). Honestly though, the tour wouldn't have been as good without him. He picked great drinks to try, and was super knowledgeable about craft beer and Denver history, which I really appreciated as a urban studies buff. My one critique is that I didn't really enjoy sitting in the space of the second stop (Westbound & Down), it was kind of an awkward and uncomfortable spot to hang out in. However, I did enjoy walking through the dairy block a lot. In all though, great time!! And it was fun to meet the other people on the tour as well. It was definitely worth the reaction to the gluten that i got after the tour lmao.

Matt was a great guide, full of information to share, fun and kept everyone well supplied in beers. Nice group size and variety of beers to try to cover all tastes, no rushing around or spending too much time in the cold.
